Looking back at some of our favourite moments from the year, we reflect on our kaupapa and discuss the lessons we've learned this year. Matai Rangi Smith phones in to talk to us about his Iwi: Rongo Whakaata

In this "Patapatai" episode, our hosts answer questions around Matariki hautapu, learning te reo, and appropriate use of tauparapara.

We feature the famous waiata aroha - Ka Eke ki Wairaka, a song composed by Rihi Puhiwahine for her lover, Te Mahuta Te Toko. Paraone and Snow discuss the history behind the composition, and explain the significance of the meaning behind it, and also shed light on the waiata that was composed in response.
